Suspiro a la Limea
I had this several times when I went to Chile last year & it is my favorite desert. It is very sweet but I serve it (because it had been served 1 time in Chile this way) with fresh rasberries. I find that the tartness of the rasberries really balances out the sweetness. It tasted just like the one I had there made at a friends house. Thank you so much I had been unable to find the recipe in English!!

Banana Bread III
I made this for my brother who's mom was from San Paulo, and was coming home from serving in Iraq. It turned out better than I could have imagined! It tasted exactly like a dessert that his mom used to make for us as kids! I had no idea that I was making the same thing. He loved it & so did my family. We all stood in the kitchen and ate it all gone, there wasn't anything left after a half hour. Well worth the time and work involved.

Suspiro Limeno
This is exactly like what I had at homes & fine restaurants in Santiago! Even my mother in law who "never has seconds of anything!" went back for more. Next time I will make it the day before rather than the day of, I liked the custard a little more set. One thing I did do though, as it was first served to me this way at some friends house in Santiago, is top it with rasberries. They are just tart enought to balance out the sweetness of it. I can't get enough of this dessert!
