Easy Cream Cheese Danish

Reviewed: Mar. 15, 2009
These were very tasty. I took advice from previous people and didn't make as much filling. I'm glad I didn't..even cutting it down, I still had leftover filling. I tried the round way some people suggested too. Then I made some by seaming together the crescents and spreading the mixture over the top and rolling it up like you do cinnamon rolls. These turned out well too..the cream cheese was evenly distributed, creating a lighter and more even taste. Lots of possibilities with this recipe.

Sopapilla Cheesecake

Reviewed: Mar. 15, 2009
This was great! Didn't change anything. I wasn't sure if I was suppose to use the whole 1/2 c. butter when brushing in on...so I did..ended up just pouring it all over the top, then putting the cinnamon and sugar on top of that. Delicious!

Elaine's Sweet and Tangy Loose Beef BBQ

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2009
A much faster way to cook the beef is using a pressure cooker...I love mine. I cut the recipe in half due to my 3 lb roast. I cooked the roast with the spices and the 1 c. of water on steady "rock" for approximately 1 hour. I could shred the beef easily with a fork. I drained all but 3 tbls of the juice left in the pot, and then added the rest of the ingredients with only 1/2 c. ketchup, and 1/4 of Sweet Baby Rays. Everyone loved it!

Spinach and Carrot Quiche

I didn't have carrots, and I halved the recipe. It turned out great. The texture was perfect! My 3 teenage boys loved it as well.

Cinnamon French Toast Bake

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2009
All 3 of my teenage sons loved these. I had extra store brand cinnamon rolls...10 to a package. I cut each of them in 1/4's...and used a regular 9 x 13 cake pan. I didn't add the nuts, and I used just plain eggs. I also didn't have heavy cream so I used evaporated milk instead. I'm still rating it a 5 because it turned out great...even with my changes. There was no need to put the extra syrup on afterwards..the mixture poored on top was plenty.

Chicken Paprika

I had to make a couple of substitutes; I had no tomato paste so I put in a tbl spoon of ketchup, and I used corn starch instead of flour. Even with my changes it came out very tasty...my boys loved it.

This was great! I doubled the recipe and didn't change a thing. Not too runny and not too dry...excellent! The flavor was perfect too! Thanks.

Sausage Breakfast Pizza

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2009
I'm rating this 5 even though I altered it a bit out of necessity. I love sausage, but I had chicken breast from dinner the night before, so I shredded it up and used it instead of sausage. I added onion, and didn't have any tomatoes. I also used a blend of mozz and chedder cheeses. I used 6 eggs as suggested by other reviewers, and precooked the crust 5 mins as suggested also. It turned out great! Next time I will try with the sausage.

Becki's Oven Barbecue Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2009
In other reviews, they stated it had too much ketchup...but I thought it had the perfect amount of ketchup. I tend to like sweeter bbq sauce though. I think next time I will try this recipe with a 1/2 c. of honey added.

Garlic Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2009
My 12 year old twins gobbled this up! Actually, everyone told me to rate them the highest. I didn't have bread crumbs so I used cornbread crumbs...and it still came out excellent! Not only excellent flavor, but quick and easy too. Thanks for sharing.

Sweet Potato-Cashew Bake

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2009
This is the recipe I will use from now on..the flavor was excellent and just what I was looking for. Since I was looking for a quick side, I sped things up. I used a 40 oz can of cut yams (drained the juice). I didn't have cashews, so I just left them out. I cooked it in the microwave for approx. 6 minutes, added the marshmallows and cooked another 1 1/2 min. The marshmallows didn't brown, but we didn't care...they tasted fabulous! Next time (when I'm not in a hurry) I'll cook it exactly as written and I know they'd rate a 10 if possible! Thanks for sharing.

Scalloped Potatoes 'n' Franks

These were excellent. I didn't have swiss cheese, so I used mozzarella. I didn't have fresh parsley so I used 2 tsps of flaked. Even with these changes..they were a hit.

Mini Corn Dogs

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2009
The dough was way too runny and sticky. I had to add cornmeal, a lot of flour and then extra baking powder to compensate. I finally managed to get the hotdogs wrapped. My kids laughed when they saw them...but they did eat them. The flavor was good. I wouldn't call them corn dogs by far though...more like breaded hotdogs. Sorry, won't be making this again.

Amazing Pecan Coffee Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2009
This is probably the best coffee cake I've made. I did add 1 tsp of cinnamon to the batter. I didn't have pecans so I made my own crunch topping by using 1/2 c of quick oats, 1/4 of flour 3 TBL spoons of melted butter, 1 tsp of cinnamon and 1/2 c. brown sugar. Everyone loved the topping and the cake!

Beth's Spicy Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2008
My brother wanted oatmeal and raisin cookies for Christmas, so I made these. He loved them! In fact, we all did. They weren't hard or dry like other oatmeal cookies I've made. I didn't have cloves, so I used 1/2 tsp of Allspice instead. I also used all real butter and no grease. There were crispy around the edges, yet soft in the middle. This one is a keeper!

This was easy and fast. It was very moist. I didn't change a thing, except I used the Satiny Chocolate Glaze from this site for the icing.
