About this Cook
I have been married for 32 years now, and have been cooking since I was 10 years old. We have a rather large family, and my parents and in-laws also come from large families so whenever we have reunions and get togethers, there are lots of different foods to enjoy, and recipes to exchange as well.
My favorite things to cook
I love cooking mexican, anything with chicken, any kind of seafood, turkey, ham, pork and vegetables, potatoes and pasta as well. Guess you could say just about anything I love to cook and try out all kinds of foods.
My favorite family cooking traditions
When we were younger, our Mom and Nana began teaching us how to cook the right way, their way, and I guess it was the right way, because we all still cook the same way today, but with a lot less salt and fats. Now our oldest grandson, Donovan likes to help cook and wants to learn how to do it all, but he is only 9 so will take a while yet.

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup
Made this for my husband and I, and was ok. I made it with leftover ham and the broth from the ham, but still didn't seem to have much flavor, so was rather disappointed. I added lots of pepper, and had no celery, but otherwise it would have been great as a potato and rivel soup, with ham.
