I live in the middle of 80+ acres and love our privacy. Love to cook, take photos, geocache, and I am taking art classes as well as spinning.
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook Italian foods, Irish meals, basic comfort meals and to bake things a little out of the ordinary but quick. I love to fix very large breakfasts for company.
My favorite family cooking traditions
traditional meals on traditional holidays. Corn beef and cabbage on St. Patrick's Day, Turkey on Thanksgiving, etc.
My cooking triumphs
spaghetti, italian stew/soups, trifles, apple pies with black walnuts. I use a lot of liquers in a lot of my cooking/baking.
My cooking tragedies
They do happen periodically. Sometimes my experimenting goes awry. The common factor in my failures is too much salt. Remember to taste, taste, taste.
