Slammin' Salmon
Wasn't crazy about this recipe; however, we baked the fish instead of grilling - and I think that the grill would have given this recipe an added dimension that would have complimented the flavors better than baking. I thought there was a lot going on flavor wise - maybe a little too much for my preference. The kids weren't that crazy about it either, but my husband did enjoy it. If I try this recipe again I will reduce some of the seasonings and definitely grill it.

Easy Sausage Strata
This was really good. I used plain old white bread because that's all we had - I think it would be a lot better with a crustier, more seasoned bread. Next time I will try a french baguette bread that is pre-seasoned. I also did not refrigerate - I'm not sure what benefit this would provide. It turned out fine without the refrigeration.

Candied Jalapenos
I did not follow the recipe, but used it for the right proportions. I wanted something quicker than a week. I used two small cans of diced jalapenos and 5oz of sugar - combined over heat until boiling; let it cool and spread over cream cheese and dipped pretzel in it. Delish! I will definitely give the original recipe a try.
