I grew up in a family of 9 children, where my father shared with the cooking as well as the laundry and cleaning. Now that were all married my brothers help their wifes witht the cooking. Mine does in the summer with the grilling. I like to cook simple things. It is now just the two of us so I don't cook like I used to. The tradition that stuck with me while growing up is having either fried chicken or roast on Sundays. When I had my mother and father-in-law over for the first time, I remember I made a roast and it turned out so moist, I was soooo proud of myself!! Now that is a toss up it has to be the time I made gravy that I could hang wallpaper with or the time I made brownies and put Castoria in the mix instead of Vanilla, when I discovered the mistake I called the nurse and of course between laughing so hard she told me that the kids would be OK!!
