About this Cook
I am married and have 3 children and work full-time. When growing up, becoming a wife and mother, I loved to cook and was very good at it! But as the kids got busier cooking turned into a "chore". Now that they are older I am finding more time to cook and experiment in the kitchen and it's not a "chore" anymore!
My favorite things to cook
I'd have to say my specialty is Mexican! Also, anything out of my friends and family recipe book that I got at my wedding shower! I love all those tried and true recipes!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Chili on Halloween Night. I make a batch and put it in the slow cooker to simmer all day. Then the kids have something warm in their tummys before trick or treating or they have something warm to eat when they get home! Everyone has a favorite topping to add... crushed doritos, shredded cheese, sour cream, hot sauce - yum!
My cooking triumphs
No blue ribbons or anything, because I've never entered anything into a contest, but I'm ALWAYS getting requests to bring some favorites to Holiday gatherings, potlucks, etc. No one even cares if it is a tried and true recipe - they are my guinea pigs and they love it!
My cooking tragedies
No tragedies yet :-)

Tammy's Favorite Lasagna
This was a very yummy lasagna. I used italian sausage instead of ground beef. It was a perfect dish to make on a cool weekend and the house smelled great will it was cooking and cooling. I will make this dish again!

Barbecue Beef Cups
Yum! This was a perfect quick meal for a busy family. The left overs are going to make a great quick snack or will easily pop in a lunchbox to take to work or school. My daughter made the finishing touches by topping each filled buscuit with a dill pickle chip :-) We will definately make these again!
