This was nothing special, it ended up coming out pretty thick and I went easy on the lemon due to other reviews but it really should have more in it. I also added some garlic and white wine but it still wasn't extremely flavorful.

Key West Penne

I really liked this - probably would have been better with the real cream but I used half and half. Sadly, the rest of my family doesn't care for artichokes so I don't get to cook with them very often. I thought the rest of this recipe might sway them but it didn't work :( I tried to punch up the flavor by using garlic, red pepper and basil but it wasn't enough. I'll spice it up a little more next time, maybe even add a little lemon juice.

Savory Sausage Bread

This seems like it would make a good base recipe but currently it comes out very bland and dry. I even added some spices to it based on other's suggestions but that didn't seem to work. If anyone has any ideas on how improve it, please post!

Bourbon-Mango Pulled Pork

Rave reviews from guests on this. Was a little bit too spicy so I need to adjust next time. I think I used too much of the chili powder in combination with Stubb's spicy sauce. Otherwise, followed recipe exactly. Yummy - thanks!

Pear and Blue Cheese Pastry Triangles

Curried Mustard Greens with Kidney Beans

This dish was amazing. I think they need to be cooked a little longer than stated in the recipe and I didn't chop them up well enough. Next time I will chop much finer but otherwise, followed the recipe exactly and it was fantastic.

Sweet and Savory Kale

This was very good - I didn't add the nuts because I thought it would be too much but next time I might try some of them toasted. Maybe even pine nuts instead of almonds would be good. I also think this would be great with golden raisins instead of craisins. I used half the sugar and it was still too sweet so I will reduce it next time.

Cajun Style Baked Sweet Potato

This was delicious - very much like a sweet potato french fry but with a different flavor. Like many people, I cut it up in cubes and mixed it with the olive oil and spices. I'm sure cutting it in half would be fine but this way there's a lot more flavor mixed in and it's not so sweet potatoey (I'm actually not a big fan). Thanks!

Roasted Brussels Sprouts

I cut these into halves or quarters depending on how big they are. I also added a little bit of balsamic and garlic powder (didn't have any fresh). My favorite parts are the little leaves that fall off and get crispy - mmmm, good!

Tequila Shrimp

This was pretty good - I took the suggestions of a lot of people and mixed beer and tequila and added the juice of a lime. I also added red pepper and some cubano. I didn't really get the tequila flavor at first, but it came through a little more at the end.

Bierocks (German Meat Turnovers)

Filling was good - I added red pepper and a little dill and cumin seed since I didn't have any caraway. A tad bit bland so I will spice up further next time. Also, I added a 3 cheese blend. Couldn't find frozen bread dough so I used empanada wrappers - I'd really like to try the bread dough next time. Someone said just to use the rolls since they're already individual, I will try that. This made a lot which is great because I will freeze the extra for snacks.
