I love to get together with my very large family during the Thanksgiving or Christmas season in one of the various states we all live in(CA,IL,FL, or HI) and cook a homestyle yet gourmet meal for them all.It is very gratifying to me and satisfying to them!!! I cook and they eat and clean!!!

I was a asst. to the chef for the Commanding General at Fort Benning,GA for a period of almost 2 yrs in the late 80s'
My cooking tragedies
Trying to cut the tips of my fingers off from time to time along with my 1st attempt at making homemade yeast doughnuts. Scalding a 30 gallon kettle of potato soup while getting ready for a banquet of 500 people!!
