About this Cook
I am a married busy working Mom of twin 9 year-old girls. I love cooking for my family, especially on weekends when I have more time to spend in the kitchen.
My favorite things to cook
I love Meditterannean foods, Southern Italian and Greek specifically. I also love BBQ and making weekend breakfasts for the family.
My favorite family cooking traditions
The major kind of cooking I had growing up was BBQ. It's hard to go wrong with a fire, a grill, and great meat!
My cooking triumphs
My Mom taught me the basics, and since then I've been teaching myself to cook a variety of foods. I love learning new methods and recipes.
My cooking tragedies
I'm pretty careful when I cook, and I usually pick recipes that have high ratings. I can't think of anything to put here at the moment.

Irish Chicken and Dumplings
My husband and kids loved this. I didn't care for it myself. Although it isn't beef or pot roast, it had that same kind of dish/taste, which isn't a style that I like.

Lemon Garlic Tilapia
The recipe itself was good. We've never had Tilapia before and didn't like the taste of this particular fish, but that has nothing to do with the recipe.

Tortilla and Bean Soup
Very good. Substituted a rotisserie chicken for chicken breast (cheaper and faster), used 4 cups chicken broth and 2 cups of water instead of 6 cups water, (since we didn't boil the chicken), and substituted corn for hominy.
