Fresh Pear Pie

This tastes very similar to apple pie. I added a crumb topping and it was very tasty. A great way to use the pears up that grow on my parents' tree.

Double Layer Pumpkin Cheesecake

Very tasty. I'm not a huge pumpkin fan but I was able to handle this since it was more of a cream cheese flavor. I did add an extra thing of cream cheese but since my pie shell wasn't a deep dish I had WAY too much filling. I'll just save it and make another one soon!

Pear and Gorgonzola Cheese Pizza

Pretty darn tasty. Make sure you let the pears ripen up plenty. I didn't have time so mine were kind of crunchy but still tasted great! I was in search of something "grown up" and this was a great mix of flavors. Also, very easy!!

It's Chili by George!!

I thought this was fantastic. You can use it as a base to get started and then add whatever you want to make it your own. I ended up substituting diced tomatoes for some of the tomato juice because I wanted it to be more hearty. It turned out great and everyone loved it!

Chocolate Pretzels

Excellent! I used normal twist pretzels - after reading how hard it is to find the round ones, I didn't even bother. They worked just fine! I also used the candy cane and mint truffle Hershey kisses - YUM! Great coloring with the candy cane ones. So easy to make and perfect for a snack. Would definitely recommend!

Graham Streusel Coffee Cake

I give this 5 stars because not only is it VERY tasty, but super easy. The cake mix called for three eggs but I only had two. I think by leaving one of the eggs out, it might have helped reduce the cakiness (is that a word?). I also left out the nuts since many don't like them. For the icing, I just microwaved some vanilla icing with a touch of cream cheese and then drizzled it on.

Michelle's Peanut Butter Marbled Brownies

Yummy. I doubled the peanut butter and only put about 1/4cup of the choc batter on top. It turned out great! The peanut butter part pooled a little oil on top but I was able to pat it with a paper towel and it was fine. Might try reduced fat next time to see if it helps. I'll definitely be making this again.

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

AMAZING. I used 1 can cream of chicken and 1 can cream of mushroom. I followed what the others recommended and used chicken stock instead of water. This was SO easy and very, very tasty!

Yummy - I didn't have dill weed so I just added some chives and onion power for the heck of it. It still tasted great - I used lite sour cream and low fat cream cheese, too!

Slow Cooker Barbeque

Pretty tasty - I added more BBQ since I used basically a whole bottle while the meat cooked and then added more after it was shredded. I cooked the meat with onions and garlic cloves and it turned out pretty tasty for my first time. I have to say that shredding beef is not my favorite activity and I had some battle scars, but worth it in the end. I may try a better quality of meat next time and that will probably make it easier to shred. Good stuff :)

Ranch Ham Roll-Ups

Very tasty - I'm not one for too many surprises when I bite into something so the only changes I made were to add the shredded cheddar/monterey cheese and some chives. I cut back on the Ranch a little since it left a pretty strong after taste. Very tasty. The second time I made them, I substituted taco seasoning for the ranch and used turkey instead of ham. Also very good. :)

Eclair Cake

Very tasty - just like I remember my Mom making it. I did dip the graham crackers in the milk for a second or so, but they were cheap, generic ones so I think it made them mushy but still very good. I also microwaved the frosting for about 40 seconds to melt it and then poured it over the top - made it look much prettier than if you had to spread it.

Monkey Bread V

This was SO tasty - I actually made one modification, though. If you're not too concerned about calories/fat you might want to try rolling the chunks of dough in melted butter and then put the cinnamon/sugar on the outside. I found that it was nice a gooey and came out perfect! I had to increase the butter by an extra 1/2 cup. Also had to increase the sugar & cinnamon mixture but just kept adding until I had enough so can't give an exact amount.

Four Cheese Macaroni

This was pretty good but not as creamy as I would have liked - and I added more cheese than it called for. Maybe more Velveeta next time and less Cheddar.
