Hi, I'm Caroline, mother of two hulking great men who spent their youth bringing home hungry kids for some of "Mum's" cooking. I'm back living in Scotland after many years travelling. 1 year in the US, a year in Spain, 3 months in Egypt and 11 years in Holland to name a few. I love to sample local foods wherever I am..and chat to the chefs! Cooking is my way of relaxing. I love to experiment with all sorts of things. No particular favourites unless you count my Cider Baked Ham at Christmas!..Evereyone loves it! I loved to spend time in the kitchen with my sons...They can both turn out pretty good meals! As I said ...My Christmas Ham...but my Christmas Dinner in general is always a HUGE success. I love catering for friends...seeing people enjoying what I have prepared is so rewarding. The very first time I cooked rice! ughhhh it came out like sludge. And for some reason or other I have a total blind spot when it comes to Aubergines/Eggplant! I NEVER get it right with those things!
