2 years out of college and finally realized I cant survive my whole life on Lean Cuisines, so I photocopied my moms & my grandma's recipe books, found this site, and started cooking.
My favorite things to cook
I'm usually cooking for my two (female) roommates, so I tend to try to keep it healthy, bake/grill a lot of chicken breasts, make salads, rice or veggies. But once a week I cook for my 8 guy friends and then I get to make gravy (spagetti sauce to some of you) lasagna, meatballs, sausage & peppers and all that fun stuff.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Sunday dinner - but even better than that were sunday mornings when we got home from church and my mom was frying up the meatballs, we'd all eat meatballs outta the pan and drink soda at 11 am.
My cooking triumphs
made my own gravy the other day and a ridiculous amount of ziti & chicken parm - even the Boys couldnt finish it all, so the two days later i took the leftovers threw em in a pan, fried up some sausage and made the greatest lazy mans lasagana ever created. YEA it was that good!!!
My cooking tragedies
made sausage & peppers for some of my friends during the patriots game, everyone kept complaining about how hungry they were so i finally took the food out, and the sausage wasnt cooked all the way through. my friends still claim i was trying to poison them.
