About this Cook
I'm a country girl at heart. I grew up helping my mom cook from when I was little. Now i'm going to college and on my own. I've most recently discovered how relaxing it can be to cook and how much enjoyment I get from it.
My favorite things to cook
I love classic family foods like baked chicken and mashed potates, pasta and steak.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My grandomther always liked to cook everything from scratch. My mom is like that too. I'm not as die-hard as they are but I really enjoy making things with basic ingredients instead of using some of the mixes and things like that.
My cooking triumphs
Last year I cooked my first full Thanksgiving dinner. I made the turkey, mashed potatoes from real potatoes and several kinds of pies and other things. And it tasted wonderful and I had a lot of fun.
My cooking tragedies
hmmmmm well i've burned a lot of things but no huge disasters so far.... i'll have to update that at some point i'm sure.
