I love traveling, exercising, shopping, friends & family, My 2 Shih-Tzus, and cooking. I like trying new recipes and have been gradually teaching my 11 y/o daughter to cook. When she was 3 I walked in on her alone in the kitchen. She had garlic bread in the oven and chicken thawing out in a pan in the sink and a few other ingredients. She said she wanted to surprise me with lunch. She has the appropriate utensils out and I decided then to start letting her help me in the kithchen. At the moment I was upset cause it was dangerous for her to attempt to cook but she learned her lesson and I thought it was cute that she wanted to try. We love cooking healthy meals and have used food to heal food allergies and get rid of my daughter's hyperactivity. Most of our meals are very healthy with lean meats, whole grains, and fresh veggies. On special occasions I make more indulgent items and all recipes has been a great resource over the years. www.SaraNicole.net
My favorite things to cook
Chia chocolate pudding, red velvet cake, baked spaghetti, sauteed kale, anything healthy and fast and indulgent gourmet type meals on special occasions.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Eggs and rice. It's very simple yet comforting. I also love my grandma's pancakes. I just make pancakes and instead of using syrup I smash strawberries as much as I can and add stevia to sweeten. I use this as a topping rather than syrup. It's very simple and fresh and it's a family tradition.
