I am currently a stay-at-home mom who has 2 little ones under the age of 4. I've always loved to cook and before I had kids I used to have a lot of dinner parties for friends. I love to bake and am always looking for that special dessert! I love to bake cakes and pies, I love Italian cooking--pasta is one of my favorite comfort foods along with almost anything southern. Big family breakfast on Sunday morning with homemade biscuits and gravy, fried potatoes, my mom's homemade syrup, pork chops breaded and fried in an iron skillet and then simmered until they fall apart, my mom's fried chicken. My 3-yr-old and I have started new traditions by baking together. My pasta alfredo, sauce homemade and not from a jar, fresh-baked bread. When I was 18 I started cooking my own gravy and biscuits. I was getting pretty good at the gravy and bragged about it until one time I was cooking for about 6 friends who were waiting on my fabulous gravy--which didn't turn out--it was horrible!! I got teased for years!
