Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

GREAT, had this last night. So tender, it was falling apart. Added 6 sliced mushrooms about 1/2 hour before it was done. Tonight we are having the leftovers, I'm adding homemade noodles which will thicken the broth from last night. We are looking forward to a 2nd round!

Baked Kale Chips

You have to like Kale to like this recipe. I made several batches. Like the recipe mentions, there is a fine line between crisp and burnt. Even slightly browned they can taste quite burned. These are a very good alternative to potato chips.

Pat's Mushroom Saute

I personally do not like mushrooms, so I didn't eat them. My husband gave them 5 stars. He only added a little salt and pepper to them. I served them with smoked salmon and a romaine salad with lemon vinaigrette.

Kalua Pig in a Slow Cooker

Perfect as written! Will add 1 more Tablespoon of Liquid Smoke next time. The leftovers are frozen to make pulled pork sandwiches and pork enchilada's. Very versatile recipe. Going into regular rotation at our house.

Fish Tacos

Fabulous! I used fresh water Bluegill for this recipe. The batter would be better on a naturally thicker piece of fresh water fish like Pike or Walleye, which we will use next time. The sauce is a perfect complement. We ran out of tortillas and finished using the sauce on the fish. Makes a great tartar sauce on it's own. I admit, I was skeptical to try this recipe, but I'm sure glad I did. 5 stars!

Chicken with 40 Cloves of Garlic

This is a classic French dish. You will get the same affect if you use 20 cloves of garlic, cut in half. The smaller you make garlic, the more potent it becomes.

Oven Fries

The sugar is the key ingredient. It didn't make them sweet, but really enhanced the flavor. The potato was thoroughly cooked, but they didn't come out crispy. sprayed a bit of oil onto my non-stick cookware and they did not stick.

Sausage Crescent Rolls

We make this a lot. The basic recipe gets 5 starts, but don't stop there, add your own flavors and spices. I brush over an egg then some ground red pepper instead of poppy seeds. We've made this spicy and mild, added green pepper, if I have it. Used green onion and sometimes a bit of celery. I've also put in pepperoni. Anyway, it's one of those clean out the fridge kind of rolls. Great versatile recipe.

Great! We didn't have the avocado to put on top. I added a little more garlic to the leftovers and we had made roasted broccoli as a side dish and put that in to what little was left and hubby had that for lunch the next day.

Jalapeno Popper Spread

Addictive and super easy! I added more jalapeno, as I like it a little more spicy. I heated ours in the microwave since I took this to a party. Don't worry if your cream cheese is a little hard or lumpy from being cold. When microwaved, it comes out creamy.

Slow Cooker Green Beans, Ham and Potatoes

Great jumping off recipe! I adjust salt and pepper to taste and add a smidge of liquid smoke. I used a smoked, uncooked pork shoulder this time. I have lots of leftovers to freeze for a later date.
