Cream Cheese Kolacky
OHHHHHH... So Yummy. I only have two pieces of advice. First - work with the dough quickly. I dawdled and had to put it back into the fridge because it warmed and started to stick to everything. Second - wait a little while before tasting. : ) The apricot preserves that I used burned my tongue and fingers more than once. It was too hard to wait! My sisters and I sat around playing board games and ate an entire double batch. It was fantastic. Oh, one more piece of advice. I would highly recommend doubling the recipe, at least.

Carrot Cake III
This cake was delicious. I was very nervous because our guests weren't exactly the 'veggie' type and I was worried that they wouldn't enjoy 'carrot cake'. Everyone loved it! I've read reviews recommending to decrease the amount of sugar in the frosting but I think it is perfect! I did add extra cinnamon and nutmeg. And instead of mixing the nuts in with the frosting I decorated the sides of the cake by pressing the nuts into the frosting (as shown in some pictures).

Kansas City Steak Soup
I served this soup when we had family visiting. It was a hit. My husband said it was his favorite soup ever. I did adjust the recipe by increasing the amount of fresh carrots and vegetables. I also added potatoes. Next time I will put in even more potatoes! I especially enjoy the think broth. Just perfect on a cold winter day!
