I'm a mother of two adorable kids, one boy and one girl. I am also a career woman and find time to cook most things from scratch. I try my best to eat healthy but still use white flour!
My favorite things to cook
Lasagna, chicken parm, anything baked including bread, cakes, rolls, etc.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Every day when I came home from school my Italian mother would have the whole house filled with the smell of garlic and olive oil as she made Aglio y Olio yet again. To this day, garlic and olive oil smell like love to me.
My cooking triumphs
I am usually successful since I read the reviews on allrecipes.com so carefully! I now make cakes from scratch as well as cinnamon rolls, biscuits, bread, pie crust and lots more. Stil don't make tortillas from scratch, however. It's too hard!
My cooking tragedies
Wow, I made some really terrible crabcakes once. I also made horrible devilled eggs once using balsamic vineagar instead of regular. Bad and ugly colored. And one extremely poor winter in college I tried to eat raisin bran with both water and, another time, orange soda. Both were bad, but the soda was way worse. Go with the water next time you're that poor!
