Really good banana muffin...I added some walnuts in mine and my daughter loved the crumble topping. Thanks!

Big Soft Ginger Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2009
These are some fantastic cookies!!! Spicy and not too sweet. The first couple times I used butter instead of margarine and found that they spread out and were a little crispy...tried the margarine as called for in the recipe and they came out perfectly! Thanks for a great recipe its a new fall favourite!

Pumpkin Whoopie Pies

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2009
These cookies were not a favourite of mine...but everyone who had one, loved them. I think one with tea would be about all that I would want, but they didn't hang around long when I gave them as gifts. Used a ounce sized ice cream scoop to pan and filled with buttercream icing. Would make again...

Real Homemade Tamales

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2009
I gave this recipe only 3 stars because it was just waaaayyyy too fiddley to make. The meat mixture was very good but the dough was too sticky and it was impossible to find corn husks. Made about 10 and that was enough for me. Sorry!

Grandma's Polish Perogies

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2009
These perogies were really really good. The dough was a great texture and fairly easy to work with (with lots of flour on the board and pin). It yielded about 60 medium sized perogies. Make sure to freeze them solid before putting in storage bags...I didn't and couldn't get them apart before boiling. Thanks for a great recipe!

Rosemary Ranch Chicken Kabobs

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2009
I have made these so many times over this summer, I thought it was time to review them. This chicken is the BEST. I have done it both ways, cut into pieces or as the whole breast. Both are excellent. Making it again tonight and going to try another reviewers tip of using the marinade over rice. I also have left the salt out...it doesn't need it when you use hidden valley ranch dressing. Thank-you for a great recipe!

Pink Ladies

Reviewed: Jul. 1, 2009
These sounded so interesting to me...and I wasn't dissapointed. Easy to prepare, look pretty and sinfully sweet. I agree with other reviewers that said a small piece goes a long way...very rich, but good. Only changes I made was to "wing it" making the frosting. I added the juice, but also finely chopped some cherries to kick up the cherry flavour. Also added a tiny bit of almond extract. Excellent recipe...Thanks!

Rhubarb Cake I

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2009
This was a GREAT cake. I doubled the amount of rhubarb, but found it was a bit mushy in the middle (my fault). Next time will make it with only 3 cups. I found like another reviewer said, some of the brown sugar topping sunk to the bottom, but we liked it anyway...kind of a suprise at the bottom. Excellent recipe and was even better the next day! Thanks! Update: July 1, 2009...Made this again for Canada Day and it turned out perfectly. Used 3 cups of rhubarb and baked a little longer than recipe calls for...perfect and golden brown. My Dad and Mom loved it! Thanks again!

Clone of a Cinnabon

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2006
These were very good, but terribly sweet. I didn't have a bread machine but made like any other yeast dough. I think that cutting down on the sugar in the filling would be a good idea. Still a good treat for once a year though....maybe Christmas morning.

Irresistible Irish Soda Bread

Excellent...excellent...excellent! This was the best and easiest soda bread I have ever made. It came out very light and fluffy. Perfect with butter and homemade crabapple jelly.

My Amish Friend's Caramel Corn

Made this for my daughters Christmas party at senior kindergarten. Went over really well with the kids. I found it a little fussy to make, but if only once a year its not too bad!!
