About this Cook
Married, no kids, 2 cats...work at a health dept...love rock music.
My favorite things to cook
soft pretzels, cookies, healthy but interesting foods, spaghetti, authentic mexican/puerto rican foods, and good ol' hamburgers (that's for my husband).
My favorite family cooking traditions
When I was little, my mom and I made homemade granola, yummy and healthy. When I got a little older, my stepmom taught me to make caramel brownies, the best in the world!!
My cooking triumphs
Anytime I make something healthy or different that my husband says is really good, and I'm tellin ya, those caramel brownies knock it out of the park every time.
My cooking tragedies
I used to make nasty mushy runny mashed potatoes, but then I learned to add the milk at the end in little bits until they are creamy and perfect.

Slow Cooked Apple Brown Betty
I added cinnamon sugar to the apples, then used some homemade gingerbread for the bread cubes and sprayed with butter-flavored cooking spray. It was YUMMY especially with vanilla ice cream.

Dave's Coleslaw
DELICIOUS!! I didn't have buttermilk so I used a mixture of mayo, sour cream, plain yogurt, and milk. Next time I may try a mixture of dill and sweet pickles since my husband likes his coleslaw really sweet.

Slow Cooker Venison Stroganoff
YUM!! I used rotini pasta and it was delicious. The venison was the most tender I have ever eaten. Great recipe!
