About this Cook
I'm in my 40's and I love to cook for my family and our friends.
My favorite things to cook
I like to make dishes that look and taste delicious. Other than that, I'm a down home cook. I cook all of the regular things that people eat.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Every Thanksgiving my Grandmother would make homemade noodles. Believe it or not, we put them over everything. On the turkey, stuffing and the mashed potatoes. I know, starches on top of starches, but it's soooo goooood! Before Grandma passed, my Aunt and I learned how to make them, and no, there isn't a recipe, unless you know what a glop of oil is. ;)
My cooking triumphs
Linguini with Clam Sauce.
My cooking tragedies
Lasagne. My wife said it was dry. So I've yet to make it again. But, for some reason, I'm still living it down. Go figure.

Easy Salsa Meatloaf
I made this pretty much as is and it turned out great! Nice and juicy with great flavor! I did have to cook it a little longer to get it done. I also couldn't help but slather 1/4 C Ketchup, 1 T Brown Sugar, a splash of W sauce and a dash of Ceyanne, during the last 10 minutes or so. And there is no way this serves 6 people. 3 servings is a much closer estimate. Thanks for the recipe Tink!

Sandy's Casserole
This was a good clear out the cabinet recipe. I cut the recipe in half and used a left over chicken breast, colby cheese (all I had), cream of mushroom soup, some veggies I had left over and tossed it all in a 9x9 pan. It turned out really good and didn't take any time at all. Thanks a lot Sandy!

Italian Peas
I made this recipe as written tonight and it came out fantastic. My wife and I were really surprised by how much difference such a small recipe could make in "just peas". There is also a ton of opportunity for tweaking in there as well! Great Recipe and Thanks!!
