Colorful Coleslaw with a Kick

Lately I have begun to use 1/4 cup of olive oil instead of a 1/2 cup, Key Lime Juice instead of regular lime juice and twice the hot sauce.

Texas Crabgrass

Awesome recipe - I added an extra 1/4C of cheese and baked at 350 for 30 minutes to bake out some of the moisture - my kids hate spinach and they liked it - this will be making some potluck appearances in the future

Pumpkin Chili

Used ground turkey instead of beef, black beans instead of kidney beans and a full 15 ounce can of pumpkin because I didn't know what to do with the rest of it - tasted great but I will cut back on the sugar some next time - thanks

Okanagan Peach Soup

Despite not having any fresh peaches (canned only) we gave it a try and I thought it was great. I may cut back on the curry a little in the future. I also plan on doubling the coconut milk. Thanks.

Lime Chicken Picante

After reviewing the recipe and the other reviews I added some extra salsa (mild) & lime juice while cutting back a little on the mustard (I used Grey Poupon - but of course !)- served it over spicy yellow rice and it was a big hit. I even forgot the yogurt in the mad rush of trying to get the kids to the table - I'll try it next time. Thanks

Cream of Fresh Asparagus Soup II

Addictive Sweet Potato Burritos

I used Black Beans instead of kidney beans - also had to scramble when I discovered that I didn't have soy sauce or chili powder - used sukiyaki sauce and cajun seasoning instead - I liked them a lot more than my kids did - good change of pace - thanks

Sweet Potato Pound Cake

I made this late on Thanksgiving Eve - discovered after I mixed it all up that I didn't have a tube pan so I had to use an old bundt pan. I also tried to pop it out of the pan too soon after it came out of the oven. It broke in half but it still tasted delicious. Our family was pleasantly surprised to have yet another dessert option on Thanksgiving. Thanks.

Cajun Crab Soup

Chili-Lime Chicken Kabobs

Made this vinaigrette a few weeks ago and will be making it again tomorrow night. I subbed Key Lime Juice and a clove of crushed garlic. Marinated chicken, shrimp and veggies (green & yellow squash, green & red peppers, cherry tomatos, mushrooms and pineapple chunks) before tossing them all on the grill. Thanks.

Fruited Ice Cream
