Cheesy Bacon Muffins

Good but it's missing something. They came out dry and flaky, definitely biscuit texture, not a muffin. Will try adding onions next time. I followed others suggestions and lowered the sugar amt... won't do that next time. They really lack flavor. Also, cooked at 180C, it only took 15 min and nearly burned. The cooking time was way off, at least using my oven.

Best Ever Muffins

Spectactular! I added a handful of shredded coconut, a splash of vanilla, 2 tbs of raspberry jam, and some lemon. The texture was perfect. I can't believe how versatile this recipe is. I actually used 1.5c all purpose flour, and .5c self-rising flour because I ran out. They came out fluffy and nice. I'll probably keep doing that. This will be the only muffin recipe I'll ever need.

Ranch Dressing II

Great recipe, great flavor. I live in Australia where I haven't found any good American style ranch dressing, so I'm very glad I can make it myself now! I added 1/2 cup of milk to make the consistency more like dressing and less like dip. I also added a little bit more salt and a dash of lemon juice, just according to my personal tastes. So happy I found this!!

Dad's Favorite Peanut Butter Cookies

Flavor is good, but these cookies were an epic fail for me otherwise. I followed the recipe exactly, even adding 1/4c more flour like some commenters suggested, and ended up with completely flat browned but mushy cookies after 10 minutes. They taste great but you can't pick them up off the plate. I'm not sure what went wrong but they didn't stay puffy, and need way more dry ingredients to hold it together.

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Texture came out perfect, but it was a bit too sweet for my taste. I only used 1.5c of chocolate chips and that was plenty. I may try this recipe again with less sugar. The sweetness gets toned down a bit the next day, I realized, and the texture stays really nice.

Key West Chicken

Amazingly good. I don't have a grill, or lime juice... so I used lemon juice and my broiler. Wasn't crispy like it'd be on the grill, but the flavor was out of this world. Thank you so so much!

Jamaican Beef Patties

Nice recipe! I made it a bit healthier by adding mixed veggies (carrots, corn, peas), and using store bought low fat pie crust. I also added some more spices, and I think this recipe is really adaptable depending on taste. It came out fantastically.

Simple White Cake

Awesome! I made these as cupcakes and I doctored it a bit (I always doctor everything), and used 1.5 tsp of vanilla, and 1.5 tsp of rum, and chocolate chips. It gave it a nice depth of flavor. I didn't even need icing at all. Next time I want to try adding coconut, too. This recipe is so flexible, you can do a lot to it. Thank you!

Best Spanish Rice

There wasn't nearly enough liquid and it took about twice the time listed to cook. I ended up having to add another half cup of water to the rice, at least. I guess it depends on how liquidy your salsa is. The end result was just okay.

Chicken Enchiladas II

1.5 cups of chicken is not enough to fill 6 tortillas. I had to double the amount of chicken AND left out adding the milk and it still wasn't right. It came out a soupy mess without enough substance to it. I also had to add a bunch of spices because otherwise it just tasted like salty condensed soup. I'm not sure how it got so many good reviews.

Salmon Cakes II

I needed to add an extra egg or else the mixture wouldn't even hold together. It wasn't that strongly flavored, either, so I added some Italian herbs. Otherwise it tasted like Worcestershire sauce and that's it. I had to do a lot of doctoring to get it to work and even then it was very "eh".

Egg Noodles

The taste was great but the dough was very tough to roll thin. Not sure how to fix that or whether that's how it is supposed to be. The end result was thick noodles, but they were delicious.

Lemon Coconut Loaf

Great recipe. I added a bit of vanilla. I had cooked it at 175C (I'm in Australia), and it took pretty much exactly 60 minutes. It came out a bit crumbly but not dry. Fantastic flavor. Also, DEFINITELY cover the top with foil for 1/2 (if not more) of the baking time or the top will get too brown. I followed that tip from the other reviewers and it came out fine.

Delicious! Makes much more than 2 dozen cookies, though. Also, they're a bit sweet. I left out the peanut butter cups and only put in 1.5 cups of chocolate chips, too. Next time I may cut down the amount of chocolate chips some more. Very awesome cookies, though!

Bread Machine Rolls

I didn't have milk powder and thus just replaced the water in the recipe with milk, and these came out fantastically! I added a little more yeast, as well (just a pinch) after reading some of the reviews, too. Absolutely great recipe.
