I love to make salsa. It can't be done alone either. It's got to be a buddy thing, a team effort. Cooking is a wonderful bonding experience. The first time I got to make dinner for company in my own house, beer brats, it was wonderful. Then the time I made salsa for the pot loc at work & the comment was, "Damn that white girl makes good salsa!" Eggs benedict is one of my many cooking tragedies, it is one of my great goals to find the perfect hollandaise sauce that won't curdle. Then there was the slow cooked pork burritos that had way too much butter. Finally there was the first time I found out about cream of tartar. A sad day in the cooking world when I used tartar sauce instead.
