About this Cook
Married for over 25 years. Wonderful daughter and Hero Son who is a United States Marine. Love to ride motorcycle, hunt, fish and anything outdoors. When indoors, all I do is cook.
My favorite things to cook
Vegetables! I love my veggies. Candies at holiday time. I am known as the Candy Queen here. Love to grill seafood, meat and poultry.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Making candy at Christmas. I probably make about 75 pounds of it between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Everyone gets a baggie full. Even the bank tellers!
My cooking triumphs
Any type of candy! Have yet to have one fail.
My cooking tragedies
I refuse to cook with bananas or coconut. They smell awful. Don't even allow them in my home.

Indiana-Style Fried Cabbage
I make this all the time. We don't add the mushrooms but we do add one can of diced tomatoes. My Grandmother taught me this recipe and called it German Cabbage. Never understood the name, but it is wonderful!

Abby's Cosmo
Love this recipe! I have made this several times. The last time I used raspberry vodka! Over the top raspberry flavor which I can't get enough of! Watch it as it will sneak up on you!

Egg and Hash Brown Pie
This is my favorite "quickie" breakfast! I do change it up a bit. I add 1 cup of chopped spinach. I also take canned flaky biscuits and press them into muffin tins. Fill with the mixture and bake. When done, I let them cool, then package individually in quart freezer bags. Then I have breakfast muffins ready to go at a moments notice! YUMMY!!!!
