Best Peanut Butter Cookies Ever

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2007
Yum these were so good! I used regular creamy peanut butter, and thought they tasted fine. I noticed in the pictures of the cookies that they were a bit flat, so I added 1 tsp baking powder. (actually I cut the recipe in half- so I used 1/2 tsp in the halved version). I brought them to my youth group and they all loved them and took seconds! They were beautiful cookies- they looked just like peanut butter cookies are supposed to look.

Caramel Apple Bars III

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2007
These were very tasty! My youth group cooked for a church meeting and I brought these for one of the desserts- their was nothing left at the end of the night. I didn't change the recipe, though I guessed at the amounts of caramels (we buy bulk) and lemon juice. I loved that the caramel filling didn't go chewy and hard. :)

Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Muffins

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2007
i had no more vegetable oil, so i used some applesauce instead. other than that i didn't change anything and they turned out so yummy! they got gobbled up, so i don't have a picture to show just how gorgeous they are (which they really really are). this was a good way to use up leftover pumpkin.

Pumpkin Pancakes

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2007
I substituted apple sauce for the oil and added another teaspoon of cinnamon. They were so yummy! I ate them for dinner last night, breakfast this morning, and as a sandwich for lunch. I just spread some peanut butter and blackberry jam on 2 small pancakes- it made lunch more interesting. I would definitely make these again.

Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2007
I made no changes to the recipe- though I did bake it in 2 9x5s and 2 5x3s. We took the little ones to a football game and found that they were really convenient. I'm actually eating some right now for breakfast- it's so good! I was looking for a recipe that would duplicate a pumpkin chocolate chip bread from our local bakery. This isn't it- it's so much BETTER!! This is going to become a tradition for our family.

Best Marinara Sauce Yet

Reviewed: Oct. 8, 2007
This was very good. I didn't use the full amount of olive oil- just enough to be tasted, about 3 T. I think this would be a really versatile recipe. I just used it on spaghetti, but it could be good in lasagna, in calzones, or with meatballs. I didn't give it 5 stars because although we really liked it, it wasn't anything that I feel like I have to make again.

Angel Biscuits II

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2007
These were very yummy! I made about 24 biscuits. They were really flaky and tasted good with anything. I don't think that they rose to nearly double, but they tasted fine and I was kind of in a hurry. I didn't make any changes to the recipe itself, and I know I'll make these again! (My mom is downstairs as I write this, sneaking some from the bag.)Thanks for sharing this recipe!

Chocolate Scotcheroos

I use 1 1/2 c of peanut butter, add 2 tsp of vanilla as I stir in the peanut butter, and use 10 c of Special K. On a tip from my grandma, I used 12 oz of chocolate chips and 12 oz of butterscotch chips. With those changes these are my favorite bars ever!

Fluffy Biscuits

Reviewed: Oct. 3, 2007
This is my new favorite plain biscuit recipe! (Plain meaning without cheese, garlic, rosemary, maple syrup, etc. NOT plain taste :) )They were so flaky and soft. Not only did they taste delicious, but they were beautiful and golden. My family loved them- they were a great way to spruce up leftover lentil soup. I am without a doubt making these again!

Butterscotch Applesauce Cake

Wow! This is so yummy! I'd considered overlooking this recipe- it doesn't seem interesting enough, but I'm glad that I didn't! Normally, I hate raisins in anything baked- especially cakes. With this cake I loved them! I know I'll be making this again and again.

Monster Cookies VI

I made these with our foreign exchange student who is a self proclaimed bad cook and they turned out great! They didn't fall flat at all and were delicious! We scaled the recipe to make 48- which it didn't make that many. We were making them for my dad's birthday present. I used crunchy peanut butter because that's his preference. I'm sure that he'll love them!!

Go Anywhere Rhubarb Squares

I made these today for a BBQ. They were so good and everyone ate them all! My family says that this one is a keeper. SO yummy! :) I used margarine rather than butter to keep it light. I also baked it in a 9"x9" because I didn't have an 11"x7" and seemed to work fine. I encourage everyone to make this-don't just pass over this recipe!!
