Alfredo Sauce

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2009
I was looking for this recipe because I'd been using almost the exact same recipe that someone sent me calling it an Olive Garden copycat. The only difference was this recipe called for TWICE the amount of parmesan! I've been wanting to try using fresh garlic for awhile so I requested my mom buy some when she shopped for groceries. She also picked up a garlic press and I went to town. We have a large family of ten children so I quadrupled this. After reading some reviews I tried adding an extra clove of garlic and did not put the full amount of parmesan because we didn't have enough. Oh my gosh this stuff is incredible!! I think the fresh garlic is what kicks it over the edge. Before it was just kind of blah but this, oh this is great!! Will make again and again!!!

Easy Chicken Tetrazzini

Reviewed: Apr. 23, 2009
Wow this was yummy! I cooked the chicken on my little george foreman in the kitchen and used the juice to throw in with the spaghetti when I boiled that. Then I substituted chicken broth for the water/bouillon (although that would be handy if one was caught without broth at the last minute). Sprinkled some Cajun Seasoning on it on my plate and deeeeelicious. Will be making this again!

Chocolate Covered Cherry Cookies II

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2009
LOVED IT!!! It tasted exactly chocolate covered cherries. I found the icing to definitely have a cherry taste but I would definitely only make half as much since I had a lot of it left over.

Baked Buffalo Wings

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2008
I was really hoping these would turn out crunchy since I like the crunchy kind best so I did as some of the reviewers suggested and baked the wings before I coated them in the sauce. I did not leave them in the fridge first since I figured that was a moot point so maybe that was a mistake. The wings were not crunchy but I'm also thinking I might could have tried cooking them longer? I will probably play around with this recipe some more. If you like spicy you will probably want to use less butter/more hot sauce. I had doubled the recipe (we were feeding lots of people) but the sauce I only did 3/4 cup of butter and 1 cup of Frank's hot sauce and there was MORE than enough sauce. I saved the extra sauce and put it in the fridge for topping burgers and such.

Creamy Pasta Bake

Very yummy!! I was looking for a different recipe and this popped up on the front page. It was simple to put together and tasted fabulous. I liked having the spinach in it, gave it a nice color, flavor and texture. Sprinkled the top with cheddar cheese before popping in the oven. The picky non-spinach liking kids agreed the spinach didn't gross them out. Will make this again for sure!

Chocolate Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2008
I was in the mood for a good bowl of ice cream with chocolate syrup and realized one problem--I didn't have any!! So I came to Allrecipes and typed in chocolate sauce. This was the first recipe I came to and with 4 1/2 stars looked like a good one to try!! It was yummy and hit the spot. I made half a recipe since I wasn't sure I'd like it and just wanted basically enough for one dessert. I told it 4 servings and then rounded down the measurements (it called for some strange amounts like 1/3 cup plus 1 tablespoon plus 1 teaspoon!!!). Still yummy!!

Gingerbread Coffee

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2007
I found this recipe last year during the holidays and my mom and I loved it. I fell in love with Starbucks' gingerbread latte and this is a wonderful fix for that (the taste is pretty close!). We made the syrup up and kept it in the fridge and enjoyed it several times. We pulled it out on Christmas for family who came over and it made a special treat.
