I am married to Paul for 18 years and have three daughters. I am employed as a Sous Chef in a nursing home setting and work under a very talented chef. My other interests include writing, reading and computing. While I'm not big on baking, I do enjoy making fresh breads and experimenting with compound butters. I enjoy preparing French and Italian dishes and believe that the fresher the ingredients, the better the dish! In my family, we forgo the usual turkey and fixings for Thanksgiving and indulge in a four cheese lasagne! This is always coupled with freshly made French bread and a large green salad with balsamic vinagrette. Preparing freshly made bread for the residents where I work and earning accolades from some very tough critics! I flubbed a very easy dish, Turkey a la King, by using deli turkey! It was awful and incredibly salty! As my chef was quick to point out though, there are no mistakes , just lessons learned when it comes to cooking!
