Jalapeno Popper Spread

I thought this was great..only had about 2/3 cup of mayo and it turned out excellent. I sprinkled a blend of asiago, parmesan and romano cheese (Sams club) and turned out awesome~ next time might try adding bigger chunks of jalapeno.

Layered Spinach Salad

While I hesitate to rate this since I didn't make it EXACTLY as directed, here goes anyway. These are the changes I made: didn't have cabbage so just used teh spinach. Added sliced cukes and sliced hard boiled eggs to it. Used ranch dressing as well as an asiago peppercorn dressing. It was awesome, but I can't believe these changes would alter the outcome..I think it would be just as good as the recipe is written.

I never thought I would be one of "those"..that rate a recipe based on changes I made. HOWEVER, I did read several reviews on this recipe and decided that I love peanut butter so much I had to try it in this cookie. I used 1/2 cup of p.b. instead of 1/2 cup of the butter. Next time I will do a full cup, but this recipe turned out awesome! I have only tried monster cookies once, and they spread all over the pan and weren't like cookies at all. This turned out super!

Grandmother's Buttermilk Cornbread

First of all, I can take or leave cornbread..just not my favorite thing in general. BUT..this recipe is awesome! So easy! Everyone loved it at work. We had 'southern' potluck at work, someone brought red beans and rice, fried chicken, and then a few other things with my cornbread. I made it in a round cake pan and turned out perfect.

I must be in the minority here....while I liked the concept, found the garlic to be too overpowering and not enough egg filling in it. Perhaps I will try them with the regular crescent and more egg.

These were very tasty. To me it seems like a lot of work to fill all the cupcakes, then frost them...and not sure if it is all that much better than a cake mix...but everyone raved about the special surprise inside!

If I could give it 4 1/2 stars I would..I think the flavor would be slightly better with a homemade sauce versus the jar sauce. Also, the spices perhaps could use a bit of tweeking..but all in all everyone loved it and made tons for leftovers..even better the second and third days.

This cheesecake looks like you bought it at the Cheesecake Factory! Everyone oohs and aaahs over it like you brought some expensive desert. ( figured it cost about $7 to make..with cherry topping )...the only thing is that mine did crack like an earthquake..but the topping covered it up!

Raspberry and Almond Shortbread Thumbprints

I am not sure what I did wrong, made them exactly as directed and the cookies just all spread out together in the pan. I am sure they would have good flavor, but who can tell when now I have a big mess on my hands.
