Flourless Chocolate Cake II

Excellent flourless chocolate cake! Tastes just like the one from McCormick & Schmicks! Very rich but that's what a flourless chocolate cake is supposed to be! Super easy to make too which makes it even better. We had to make 1-1/2 recipes because we had only a 9-1/2" round pan and not an 8". I cooked it for 35 min instead of 30, only because it was a larger portion. I used the ingredients just like the recipe states and it was phenomenal! No need for any substitutions.

Hasty Chocolate Pudding

Great recipe! Very easy. I doubled the recipe and it had to cook longer but that's just to be expected. Turned out perfectly. Husband and sister loved it!

Tilapia Soft Tacos with Chipotle Cream

My husband and I were surprised how good these were! We did as another reviewer suggested and cut the fish into strips and breaded them with italian breadcrumbs and added lemon pepper to them. Great recipe!

Strawberry Fluff

I can't seem to get enough of this! I make half a recipe using just one package of sugar free gelatin (powder), just so that I can make another half recipe in a few days with another flavor gelatin! I used the sugar free gelatin and lite coolwhip and it's still phenomenal!

Whiskey-Marinated Steak

This was good and easy! We used Flank Steak instead of rib-eyes and it was just as good. The recipe makes a ton of marinade! I'll halve it next time. It was too cold to grill, so I cooked it on the stove in the marinade which worked out just as well. I didn't add liquid smoke because I don't like it. All in all another good recipe for steaks!

Spinach Tomato Tortellini

We really enjoyed this recipe. I too don't like wilted spinach so I did everything but add the spinach until the very end after I added the tortellini. We also added fresh basil since I had it on hand. Nummy!!!

Lemon Basil Pesto Flat Iron Steak

We made this and were pleasantly surprised! We don't typically like pesto but I have to admit, it was very good AND very quick and easy to make! Since it was still cold out, we made it on the stove and used flank steak instead of the flat iron. Worked great with the flank steak.

Cilantro Chicken Salad

This recipe was very good. I was a bit worried about it being too overpowering, but it wasn't. The shallots and the cilantro go well together. Others mentioned that cooking the chicken in the soy sauce/lime mixture was for naught, so I saved 2 tablespoons of that mixture and mixed it in with the shredded chicken to make sure I had some of that flavor still. I also added a large handful of shredded parmesan cheese and we ate this on pitas with a slice of swiss cheese. It was very good. Will definitely make this again.

Dash's Donair

REALLY GOOD! I was amazed at how the meat turned out. We chilled the cooked loaf in the refrigerator for about 5 hours and then we thinly sliced it before eating. I was thankful for the picture, because with growing up in Chicago, we don't have Donairs. We have Gyro's. So the picture helped explain how you're supposed to eat them considering the directions do not explain that. After we sliced the meat we fried the slices in olive oil for a little bit to warm them up. They were really good. Will definitely make this again.

Beefy Wild Rice Soup

I was not too impressed. Where it was edible, it really lacked flavor. It was basically mushroom soup with ground beef and onions. Not sure what I expected, but I was hoping for something with a little more pizazz. Sorry, but I won't be making this again.

Southern Pulled Pork

Great recipe. The only thing we did differently was to add less water and we didn't use the smoke flavoring. I don't like smoked food. It was really good with Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ sauce, but was equally good without it. My two dinner guests couldn't stop say, "oh my god this is so good!". You know it's a great recipe when that happens!

This recipe was very good. We didn't have pork chops, so we used pork tenderloin that was cut to 1/2" pieces. worked just as well. Would use the tenderloin again. Good recipe!

Barbecued Chicken Salad Sandwiches

This was really good even though we didn't marinate the chicken overnight. We brushed the chicken w/bbq and then added more to the mayo mixture. Even still, it was really good; a definite keeper.

Meatball Sub Sandwiches

Very good. Very messy! But aren't bbq sandwiches supposed to be messy? :) We just kept eating more, even though we were stuffed. Added swiss cheese to my sandwich which was excellent, but it would have been good even without the cheese!

I forgot to read the other reviews that mention to make the bacon separately, so all the onion, bacon and shallots burned and made the sauce unedible. Sorry, I didn't like this.
