About this Cook
My interests are few but run deep (aka "obsessed"): food, NFL, running, pets, video games
My favorite things to cook
Cheesecakes are my labor of love. I hear I make great steaks too, so to stroke my ego I do favor it.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Growing up, my family ate together only twice a year: Thanksgiving and Christmas, which is why I absolutely love those two holidays. I remember my tastebuds salivating to the delicious non-traditional dishes my chef father would present to us on those two days.
My cooking triumphs
I am now famous for my bread pudding and cheesecakes, thanks to AllRecipes!
My cooking tragedies
I once used baking soda instead of baking powder for muffins at the age of 12. I never made that mistake again!

Beef Tenderloin With Roasted Shallots
I made this about twice now and every time the meat came out so juicy and succulent - and I don't even like meat that much! I used a blender on the shallots, bacon and sauce. It was good, but it was a little too wine-y for my taste, so I might reduce the port next time or just go with a simple gravy. However, the meat part of this recipe will DEFINITELY be my go-to recipe for beef tenderloin. This 2-lb tenderloin was supposed to feed 6, but my fiance and I gobbled all up with just the tiniest bit leftover for his lunch the next day. :):):) I can't wait to start making this for guests!

Pigs in a Blanket
Easy cheesy - literally! My honey raved about how these were the best pigs in blanket he's ever had. I'm thinking about using veggie dogs next time too so I can have a taste as well!
