Creamy Chicken and Wild Rice Soup
This is some wonderful "comfort" food! It is bland, which suits my tastes very well. I made a few adjustments, just to use what I had on hand. I mixed edamame with the peas and that made for a nice flavor, and used up some white rice I had already cooked. It is a wonderful soup to make when you just want to warm up a bit. I also used half and half instead of cream. Very nice!

Easy Batter Fruit Cobbler
This is such a versatile batter and works well with just about any fruit. My family absolutely loves it! The best part is that it is so incredibly easy. Edited to add: cut down on the baking time by microwaving for 5 minutes, then baking in the oven for 30 minutes. The crust seems to fluff up a bit more by doing this.

Split Pea Soup without Pork
This is so easy and very economical. I did cut back on the water and added a few more seasonings to give the flavor a boost (pinch of garlic salt and sage). Very yummy!
