About this Cook
I am a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ. I am married and am a mother. I enjoy eating and cooking. I hope to share what I make someday through some type of business.
My favorite things to cook
Pie, anything with yeast, and most anything that normal people would buy at a store.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Butter cookies with lots of almond extract. Candied sweet potatoes and the candy over the whole plate on Thanksgiving. Strawberry pie on Easter Sunday.
My cooking triumphs
I am taking baking and pastry classes. I view this as a triump because I am learning what it really takes to do this correctly.
My cooking tragedies
My dad was great and would eat anything we ever made. When I was around ten I made a chocolate pudding pie and the pudding never sat up. He ate chocolate soup pie and never complained.

Tasty Lentil Tacos
This recipe looked so good but I was more in the mood for enchiladas. So I cooked the lentils as was stated in this recipe. I mixed them with a small can of refried beans, 1/4c of taco seasoning, and some water. I then wrapped them up in tortillas and topped with salsa and cheese. What a healthy and fiberfull dinner! Thank you so much for teaching me to cook lentils.

Pumpkin Dip
I only added some more of the spices and added cardamom. I served it with ginger snaps and a week later a friend said she found this recipe and took it to Thanksgiving. That is saying something.

San Francisco Sourdough Bread
I used our own left over sour dough. I did not think to even deal with potato powder or so on. I made basic dough and forgot it. I used the recommended amount of starter and it was so good. It is like a bread beer because of all the extra fermentation.
