My favorite things to cook

My favorite family cooking traditions
I am trying to come up with the perfect menu for every special occasion for my family with 2 young boys. I know the boys will really enjoy traditional meals year after year.
My cooking triumphs
I can pull off a party for 32 people with about a two day notice. Including drinks, appetizers, main course, sides, salads and numerous desserts.
My cooking tragedies
One time I tried to recreate a dish from memory. Ham and spinach stuffed crepes, ended up in the trash.

Cedar Planked Salmon
I just made this last night and it was absolutely fantastic! I didn't have green onions so I used minced red onion. My in-laws were so impressed they wanted to have a plank to take home! Costco has them for $8 for a package of 6. The package on the plank states that if it's not too charred you can use is again after cleaning with warm water and letting it air dry. Also, to save time, planks can be presoaked and frozen. I can't encourage you enough to try this incredible recipe! Thank you for the post.
