I enjoy cooking and baking a lot. Sometimes it's hard to time things properly but usually it turns out... Hehehe. Soup, sauteed veggies, shrimp scampi My Mom's apple pie. I have never been satisfied with any other apple pie, I've been spoiled! The first time I made cake from a box. For some reason I do better making things on a whim or altering recipes... Whenever I have to follow it word for word I always mess it up. When I made this cake, pretty much everything went wrong - I got the temps mixed up and preheated it too low and baked it too high. And kept checking on it (because I didn't know opening the oven frequently can kill your cake). Additionally I didn't have measuring spoons, so I had to guess with the ingredients, and I didn't have an electric mixer so I just mixed it as fast and hard as I could! But amazingly, through all that, it somehow turned out. The only evidence was that it stuck to the pan a little. I now refer to it as the Immortal Cake because you couldn't kill it if you tried. :P The first time I went to bake cookies I burned them. :( Turned out I got the heat controls on my oven mixed up and I baked them at twice the temperature they should've been baked at!
