I credit allrecipes.com with teaching me how to cook. When I first my met my husband I could barely make mac and cheese. Both us had grown up around working moms who didn't have the time to teach us how to cook. I looked online for some ideas after some frustrating cooking experiences and stumbled upon allrecipes. The easy and user friendly recipes on this site have been instrumental in helping me learn how to cook! I love cooking meals and baking treats that others might enjoy, whether its friends, family, or co-workers. I helped cook for the first time this Thanksgiving and got some nice compliments from my family. :) Cooking has now become a new hobby that is relaxing and very enjoyable for me. I consider a cooking triumph any compliment I get on a dish that I bring to an event. One of my first recipes involved curry powder used in a liquid form and I accidentally dropped some of it onto the white carpet. Little did I know that curry powder has a dying agent in it! I had dyed a big spot on my white carpet yellow and green! We had to move the dining room table over the big yellow stain. :(
