About this Cook
I'm a mother to 2 boys, 3 and 5. I work part time at a bookstore which is really fun. My husband works long hours and I love to cook for him. I am very fond of my slow cooker...I make the BEST pork tacos!
My favorite things to cook
roasts, soups, mexican food, cakes
My favorite family cooking traditions
I live next door to my mom and dad, and growing up I was very much into cooking. I loved helping my mom in the kitchen and coming up with my own recipes. I am Sicilian and my grandmother lived here in the Bay Area before she died. Every Sunday we would go to her house and she would make us the best spaghetti ever!!!!
My cooking triumphs
My pork tacos! They are amazing!!!!
My cooking tragedies
too many, but I haven't had any in a while!

Country Apple Dumplings
WOW!!! I literally closed my eyes as I savored the first bite of this delicious dessert. I served it hot and with vanilla ice cream. YUMMY!! We were all blown away! It was so rich and buttery! Next time, I'll probably cut the sugar, butter, and dew in half and I'm sure it will be just as good but with half the fat. Will MOST DEFINETELY make again and again!! FANTASTIC RECIPE!!!!!!!!

Baked Potato Soup
This was the best potato soup I have ever tasted. I didn't change a thing, except thicken it up a tiny bit more with a little cornstarch and water. My kids each ate 2 bowls, as well as me and my husband. Thank goodness for Allrecipes and recipes ike this. I have it up on my refrigerator, as I plan on making it again soon! THANKS!!!
