Maple Apple Crisp

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2009
Really, really good! I added chopped walnuts to the topping and halved the butter as others mentioned. Oh and I used real maple syrup and a few drops of vanilla.

Barbecued Beef

Reviewed: Jul. 20, 2009
The method is great, but once the sauce is cooked for hours doesn't turn out to be a nice BBQ sauce. It is very watery and I didn't feel the flavor was that great. You need to have a bottle or make some for adding to the meat at the end. I prefer "Mijos Shredded Beef" recipe from this site.

Wonderful, easy and plenty of caramel! Make sure to grease pan generously and clean up is a breeze.

Roast Pork with Maple and Mustard Glaze

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2009
This recipe is great. i used the crockpot method and the roast came out nice, however, I thinking roasting it would be even better. I only had maple flavored syrup and used even though I was really worried about it being too sweet. I did add a bit more cider vinegar and another tablespoon of mustard to balance the sweet syrup. It turned out great! I thickened the sauce a bit with cornstarch and used it as a sauce to top the slices of meat, YUM!Don't bother to use high priced syrup in this sauce, it'll taste great anyway!!

Poppy Seed Dressing

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2009
Taste overall was good however, I found it a bit oily....I wish I would have added less, then it would be 5 stars. I also put all ingredients into a jar and shook, great method for mixing dressing!

Glazed Mint Brownies

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2008
I used my own brownie recipe but used the filling and topping. For starter the amount of peppermint extract is WAY WAY too much! I used only 1/4 teaspoon and this was PLENTY minty. I doubled the filling part as I had a9x15 pan of brownies and this was the perfect amount of minty filling. I would NOT double it for a 9x9 pan(as another reviewer suggested) this would be grossly minty. The overall taste of this recipe was out of this world but only with changes.

Molasses Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2008
These cookies were as promised-soft, chewey and yummy! I used a Tablespoon ice cream scooper and baked for about 8 minutes. They cam out not only soft and chewey but with crinkles on the top as well. Try rolling in red or green sugar for easy christmas cookies.

Golden Dinner Rolls

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2008
I did not like the flavor of the rolls, which is too bad because they were light and fluffy. I made these along with another yeast roll and these barely got touched.

Homemade Crescent Rolls

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2008
These were wonderful. I made them for Thanksgiving dinner along with another yeast roll. These were the clear winners, the other rolls barely got touched. The taste was really wonderful and they were easy to make. I recommend these highly, you won't be disappointed. TIP: Before baking brush with egg wash-50/50 egg to water. They will be golden and yummy!

Buffalo Chicken Dip

Love it! I like either version; blue cheese or ranch. If you use blue cheese dressing I would add a bit of crumbled blue cheese in place of a bit of the cheddar.

White Bean Chicken Chili

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2008
This was good but it did NOT serve more than 2 children and 2 adults. Luckily that's all it needed to feed but had I been depending on 9 servings it would have been quite disappointing! I also used salsa verde instead of tomatillos.

This cake is top notch! I used cake flour and homemade spiced applesauce. I will be making this cake again! I didn't use the icing recipe as I have my own perfected cream chees icing. SOOO GOOD!

Zesty Slow Cooker Chicken Barbecue

I made this for a birthday party and everyone LOVED it! I also loved how this doesn't take any effort at all! I used about 12 chicken breasts between two crock pots and it made a ton.

Red Velvet Cake

Reviewed: Sep. 5, 2008
My cake did not rise properly in the middle, It would have still been usable but then it didn't come out of the pan right, it broke in half! I generously greased so I suggest greasing and flouring the pan! The cake had good flavor but a little on the drier side.

Oatmeal Carmelitas

Reviewed: Aug. 30, 2008
Would have given it 5 stars because these are very very good however, I used all the same ingredients and measurements but my cooking time the second time was more like 30-40 minutes NOT 15!! Also many reviewers have used almost double the melted butter...I believe you must be using ROLLED oats insted of QUICK outs which are different. That is way too much butter for something going into a 9x9 pan!

It tasted SO good you would never know it was so easy! I put this together in about 10 minutes. I highly recommend this recipe. You could easily change the blueberries for other berries and it would be equally great!

To Die For Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: Jun. 15, 2008
Really good! I added about 2-3 Tablespoons sour cream otherwise followed recipe and they turned out great. I made them without the paper liners, bad mistake! I even generously sprayed cups but it was no match for those juicy sweet blueberries. I recommend paper liners!
