About this Cook
Since marrying my husband, I have really blossomed as a cook. I love to try new recipes and I have found that I can't leave a recipe alone...I always add something or change something ot make it a little more my own.
My favorite things to cook
I love to make comfort food.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I always make candy at Christmas. Hay stacks, chocolate covered pretzels, white chocolate ritz. It's something my mother always did with us as kids, and it's so important to me to continue that. It's not Christmas without the homemade candy!
My cooking triumphs
After many months of cooking and changing ingredients and adding small touches, I have PERFECTED my made from scratch Chicken Pot Pie! It is perfect and my husband requests it all the time.

Peanut Butter Bars I
these are really yummy and super easy. Although the peanut butter layer was still gooey after chilling them in the fridge for an hour, so I moved them to the freezer and that helped. I took someone elses suggestion of chilling the peanut butter layer for a few minutes before adding the chocolate layer and had no problems with the chocolate melting through. YUM!

Maple Baked Pork Loin Roast
this was really good. I liked that it was easy to prepare and made a nice simple, not too fancy galze for the pork loin.
