I grew up in Vermont and married a great guy from Wallingford. He was just going into the Air Force and we were married right after his basic training. We now have a teenage son and live in the Sunny State of Florida. I love my house, garden and the new addition of a pool and fully stocked Tiki Bar we call the Drunken Parrot. Entertaining is what we do best!! My mom loved to bake but was a meat and potato comfort food person. I on the other hand, love to cook but hate baking! I am always using our friends as guinea pigs! I love Thanksgiving! My stuffing is the bomb and I can never decide which I like better, the actual dinner or the turkey soup I make with the leftovers! Learning how to make Chicken Snitzel from my father in law. Every time I make it, I am reminded of how much I love him and miss him. He has been gone now since 2003. I went through a faze of wearing fake nails once... I was home visiting my mom and dad and helped my mom cut up rhubarb to freeze to make pies later in the year. About 3 months later, my mom called me to tell me that she had made a pie to bring to a friends house to meet his new fiance and family. My dad bit down on something in the pie and spit it out. Everyone was trying to figure out what it was but my mom was the only one who knew...it was one of my fake nails! Needless to say, I don't wear them anymore and I have never lived down this incident!
