About this Cook
Bugaloo is my son's nickname (I know, what a nickname, right?, Don't ask). I am just a mom who works full-time, and cook for my family. I am always into trying new recipes, ask my husband, he knows.:)
My favorite things to cook
Mostly desserts. But since I became a diabetec, I don't bake a lot anymore, and will share what I have with you. Some really yummy stuff.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I don't really have any traditions, except around the holidays. We all get together, and bring a really good dish.
My cooking triumphs
This last Thanksgiving, I made stuffing. I don't care for stuffing, and I was really nervous of how it would end up. I made my own recipe from about 3 or 4 other recipes, and it turned out wonderful. Everyone loved it.
My cooking tragedies
Cabbage rolls, what a sad, sad thing. Luckily, for my husband, he was not home and did not have to eat them.

Louisiana Sweet Potato Pancakes
Very bland and lumpy. I do want to try these one more time, but I think I will use the brown sugar in another's comments for more sweetness and will cook my potato ALOT longer to get the smoother consistency.UPDATE: my 3 yr old son ate quite a bit, but I added vanilla and sugar as the other reviews suggested. I think next time I will try more sweet potatoes and cook them longer so they are not so lumpy.

Apple and Pecan Stuffing
I only gave 4 stars, because I didn't actually use this recipe to a T. I did, however use this one and another one to make an awesome combo. Thanks for the idea of using Pecans and apples. My husband asked me to leave the apples out, but I'm glad I didn't listen. Absolutely wonderful!! I don't even like stuffing, and I ate a big spoonful. Got great reviews from the Thanksgiving tabel. Thanks again.
