Apple Crisp I
I didn't have oatmeal packets - NOR enough instant oatmeal, so I used what I did have - about 1/4 c., and then used whole wheat flour instead of white, and it turned out great. I left the nuts out. Flavor wasn't a problem - I threw a scattering of frozen whole cranberries over the apples before adding the topping and it turned out bubbly and delicious! It's very sweet (had never made with maple syrup before), so if that's not your thing I would cut the sugar as suggested in other reviews (cranberries help too!).
