My mom and I used a blender rather than a food processor so we mixed together the liquid ingredients before processing the squash. I made it for a "contest" at work (we were all winners) and everyone loved it. One of the "judges" was surprised to hear that it was made of squash rather than pumpkin. I think I'm going to make it for Thanksgiving this year.

Photography Notes: I wanted the slice to look natural so I wasn't too careful cutting it out of the pie. The crust was separating from the slice on the back so I stuck a couple of toothpicks in the back (starting toward the top and aiming toward the plate) to keep it together. Then I positioned the slice so the toothpicks can't be seen but the plate decor could. Also, the plate is chipped on the edge, so when I cropped the picture, I cut out the chipped parts.
