About this Cook
I have four children on whom I love to try out new recipes!
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook Italian food. And cookies! I love cookies!
My cooking triumphs
I found a great Oatmeal Raisin cookie recipe on this site and it is the best cookie I have ever eaten! The secret is to boil the raisins for five minutes and let stand for ten minutes more. http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Oatmeal-Raisin-Cookies-VII/Detail.aspx
My cooking tragedies
Chocolate chip cookies are a tragedy every time I make them. I have altered the recipe over several years. My cookies come out flat, greasy and crisp every time. My only hope is that the humidity (not me!) causes my chocolate chip cookies to be awful.

Fluffy Pancakes
I gave this five stars because the flavor was good and my family really enjoyed them. However, the recipe did not call for enough liquid. My batter was the consistency of school paste and could be cut with a knife. I added more milk, a couple of tablespoons at a time, until the batter could be poured more easily. I have used the "sour milk" method in place of buttermilk in the past and it is a perfect alternative. I will definitely make these again.

The Best Chicken Fried Steak
This was a great recipe. I had not ever made or eaten chicken fried steak, but it turned out really well. I'll definitely make this again.

Scalloped Potatoes II
This was a wonderful and easy recipe! My family devoured the entire thing during one dinner. The only thing I added was shredded cheddar cheese to the top during the last five minutes of cooking.
