About this Cook
I am a mom to a wonderful 10 yr old daughter who doesn't particularly like veggies, and to a 4 yr old son who loves just about everything I present to him. And a wife to a very special man who is an extremely picky eater.
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook just about anything, but mostly something my family would love-- cookies, bread, and anything totally homemade from scratch or thats more frugal.
My favorite family cooking traditions
A great big thanksgiving and christmas mess---thats what my kids and I call our dinner preperations.
My cooking triumphs
I am having the hardest time baking a "light bread" that my family thinks would compare to what they like from the grocer.UPDATE-- I found it its called the best bread machine bread on this site. Except I bake in the oven instead of bm.
My cooking tragedies
my daughter and I were making sugar cookies and I got "sugar" out of the wrong canister. lol SALT P U!!! hahaahha

Wheat Germ Whole-Wheat Buttermilk Pancakes
I made this recipe w/ the following subs. Unsweetened applesauce for oil, 2tbsp ground flax seed plus 6tbsp water for eggs, and 2% milk plus 4tbsp butter- milk powder and instead of 2tsp soda I done 1tsp and added 1tsp baking powder and I almost forgot-- I only had reg. ww flour, not the pastry kind and these were a hit w/ me and my two children 4 and 10. I served theirs w/ homemade maple flavored syrup and I dipped mine in the unsweetened applesauce. VERY YUMMY(even though its a total rendition of the true recipe--but if trying to lose weight like me I hope this helps and I'm gonna try count weight watcher points and will try to update. Thanks for a start to this recipe
