Baking for holidays! Can't beat it, no matter what kind or for what holiday! Anything that I make for dinner that gets an "Exceptional" from my husband! I've only been cooking since we moved in together about 4 years ago so I'm still learning and I get really excited when I've made something that he raves about. My favorite is when he shares w/ his coworkers and they request more! While pregnant I decided that I really wanted Apple Cake at 10pm on a night when my husband was out of town. By the time I'd peeled and diced and mixed and baked it was near midnight. As I pulled the cake out of the oven, it slipped from the pot holder, burnt my hand and I dropped it on the floor! Half of it was still edible but since I had taken a reviewer's advice and changed something in the recipe, it didn't taste the same and to a pregnant lady w/ a craving, that was the worst part! My husband now reminds me not to bake while he's away!
