I recently took on the role of stay home mom which has left me with a lot of time on my hands! Therefore I have rediscovered the joy of cooking and have expanded beyond my typical cookies and desserts! I love to bake! I don't eat much of my creations and usually send them to work with the hubby. I've started to really enjoy the savory stuff too but I'm still learning my style. The first Sunday after Thanksgiving the women in my family spend the whole day baking and giving away all the cookies we bake to local fire and police departments and neighbors and the mail lady and...well, you get the point! I make the best Chocolate Chip Cookies in the world! I make a pretty mean banana bread too but my chocolate chips are famous! I cannot make a pretty pie! I can make a tasty pie but not a pretty pie. My bread is good for laying foundations too but I'm working on that!
