About this Cook
I'm 20 years old and I am also a college student. I love to cook and try new recipes, but I have to say I am the best at baking. I go crazy during the holidays baking for family and friends! I also am always looking for inexpensive yet healthy recipes to keep me going during the school year. I'm always interested in chatting about cooking.
My favorite things to cook
Tacos, fajitas, mashed potato, anything with sweet potatos, pasta, grilled chicken, steamed veggies, stir fry, cookies, cookies and more cookies, bread, muffins....
My favorite family cooking traditions
Rice, beans, chicken and fried plantians a traditional puerto rican recipe. Lots of baked goods during the holidays and turking and pork for holidays.
My cooking triumphs
I make a mean sweet potato pie!! :)
My cooking tragedies
I have never had anything go terribly wrong in the kitchen, just the usual I didn't add enough ingredients or I added too much, um I guess burnt cookies one time.

Rigatoni Pasta with Chorizo
Very delish no problems I added some mixed veggies for some color and to make it a bit healthier. I also used fat free milk and low fat butter spread

No Bake Chocolate Oatmeal Cookies
I made these for a baby shower and they were a big hit. I am giving them four stars though because they are more like a candy than a cookie and personally I didn't care too much for the raw oats. The syrup, coco and peanut butter consistancy was very good however. I think next time instead of oats I will add rice crispys or a cruchy cereal instead

Lemon Chicken Tenders
I love this recipe, but I have to agree with the other reviews it is way too sweet, next time I will only add a few tablespoons of sugar. Other than than it was a great idea the lemon juice and curry was very tasty, maybe I will add capers like one suggested, I also used panko bread crums and milk to dip the chicken in instead.
