About this Cook
I am currently in school, majoring in English, but my true passion is creative writing and cooking.
My favorite things to cook
I am a baking fiend, although I find myself stuck in discovering new baking recipes. Being as I'm a vegetarian, I love inventing exciting dishes for myself, that my carnivorous family will enjoy as well.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My family is very European based, so I grew up with a lot of delicious Austrian, and Meditteranean meals.
My cooking tragedies
Surprisingly, kraft macaronni and cheese; I tried sprucing it up a bit with different spices, and chopped sandwich ham, but I didn't change the cheese sauce ... all i can say is, horrible.

Bean and Tomato Stew with Sage
This dish tastes absolutely fantastic! Only complaint that I have is that it doesn't feed four! I used a 19-oz can for both the beans and the tomatoes, and it only fed me 3 times :( haha looks like I'll just haveto make it again! Thanks

Garbanzo Stir-Fry
This dish tasted fantastic, once I tweaked it to my liking :) I added 3/4 cup of onion, and sauted it with 3 garlic cloves in just 1 tbsp of olive oil. Once that browned up a bit, I added fresh grated ginger :), then I cooked the recipe accordingly. After everything cooked up nice and hot, I added a pinch of salt and pepper. Cilantro Lime Cod
Really yummy, but I agree with putting the cilantro on after cooking. Margarine isn't necessary. I actually used fresh halibut in place of the cod, and cut the cooking time in half .. turned out absolutely fabulous! Thank you!!
